Yes! I read "Debarking" when it was originally published in the NYer, and it's probably one of my faves of the last 25 years, and I've maybe read one or two others in the collection, but I never picked up the book, for whatever reason. Excited for it!

It me! (The Sam T. story) It kinda sorta reminded me of. 17776 by Jon Bois without the bells and whistles. Nice illustration!
